EUGENE — Oregon baseball will return even more of its roster in 2021.

Senior Nico Tellache and juniors Robert Ahlstrom, Hunter Breault, Peyton Fuller, Cullen Kafka, Kolby Somers and Brett Walker will return next season, the program announced Friday. They join senior Gabe Matthews and redshirt-junior Kenyon Yovan, who announced last week they’d be returning.

Walker went 3-0 with a 0.84 ERA, a team-best among starting pitchers, and 10 strikeouts over 21.1 innings this season.

Breault and Somers each had flawless ERAs this season in 9.2 and 8.0 innings of relief, respectively,

Ahlstrom went 2-1 with a 6.08 ERA with 18 strikeouts over 23.2 innings this season and was 5-7 with a team-best 3.93 ERA in 2019.

Fuller went 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA with 17 strikeouts over 19 innings this season.

Kafka went 0-1 with 4.91 ERA with 16 strikeouts over 18.1. innings.

Tellache had a 3.86 ERA with eight strikeouts in seven innings of relief this season.

Oregon’s seniors yet to declare their plans for next season are Cole Stringer, Taylor Adams and Chris May, though only Adams played last season, and juniors Sam Olsson, Evan Williams, Marcus Lydon and Tristan Hanoian have yet to announce their plans either. Olsson and Williams each started four games this season.
