The Atlanta Braves were without a familiar face and big name when they took the field for Wednesday's series finale at the New York Mets.

Per The Associated Press (via ESPN), Atlanta's Ronald Acuna Jr. was scratched from Wednesday's matchup at Citi Field due to lower-back tightness. Ehire Adrianza started for the Braves in right field, and Dansby Swanson shifted to the lineup's leadoff spot.

Acuna went deep against the Mets Monday to help the Braves split a doubleheader:

In total, Acuna is batting .285 with 20 homers and 45 RBI on the season. According to the MLB website, his status for Thursday's contest at the Cincinnati Reds hasn't yet been determined.

The Braves began Wednesday evening at 35-37 on the campaign and four games back of the first-place Mets in the National League East standings.
