Cleveland sports-memorabilia auction brings in more than $73,000

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A recent sports-memorabilia auction that included nine Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers items brought in more than $73,000.

All the items sold for more than twice the opening bid amount.

Here’s a look at the items and their final sale prices offered through Lelands Auctions:

LeBron James shoes: The size-16 shoes were worn April 23, 2017, during Game Four of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Starting bid: $20,000. Final: $63,679.

Cleveland Indians cards: 1953 Topps Baseball cards - Sam Jones, Ray Boone, Early Wynn, Jim Hegan and Al Rosen. Starting bid: $300. Final: $1,241.

1997 American League Champion Cleveland Indians team-signed game-worn jersey: Casey Candaele’s jersey has 32 signatures including Jim Thome, Manny Ramirez, Omar Vizquel, Julio Franco, Orel Hershiser and others. Starting bid: $300. Final: $1,128.

Joe DiMaggio and Ken Keltner signed ball: The American League ball has Keltner on the sweet spot with Hall of Famer Joltin’ Joe below it. Starting bid: $200. Final: $482.

Mickey Mantle and Bob Feller signed limited-edition oversize photograph: The 1951 photo shows a pair of eventual Hall of Famers, Feller pitching to 19-year-old rookie Mantle. Starting bid: $300. Final: $701.

1994 Jim Thome Cleveland Indians-signed game-worn jersey: This is Thome’s road gray jersey worn in his fourth season, his first in double digits in home runs, with 20. Starting bid: $500. Final: $4,042.

1881 Boston vs. Cleveland scoresheet initialed by Harry Wright: The rare, historically significant 1881 scorecard of a game between Boston and the Cleveland Blues was pencil-scrawled by Wright. Starting bid: $200. Final: $482.

1960 Cleveland Browns cardboard advertising schedule with Jim Brown: A scarce Browns cardboard display features the great running back. Starting bid: $300. Final: $932.

NFL cufflinks, pins and tie-bar collection with 1964 championship: Each piece bears an NFL shield with championship. Starting bid: $200. Final: $583.
