Major League Baseball is back this week with MLB Opening Weekend. With the shortened season every game will count and you can check out each MLB team’s opening weekend schedule here!

We have the Detroit Tigers heading to the Great American Ball Park to take on the Cincinnati Reds in their home opener on Friday. Some MLB players are wearing these awesome game day face coverings. You can find more information about those MLB face covers and scarves here.

Detroit Tigers (+155) vs. Cincinnati Reds (-176)

Pitching: Matthew Boyd vs. Sonny Grey

When: Friday, July 24 Time: 6:00 p.m. ET TV Channel: MLB Network Live Stream: fuboTV (watch for free)

To open the season, Detroit will send Matthew Boyd to the mound who finished sixth last season in the AL with 238 strikeouts, had a 9-12 record with a 4.56 ERA.

The Reds will give Sonny Grey the nod on Friday, who finished last season with an 11-8 record and a 2.87 ERA. Once Grey gets rolling during the season he’s tough to stop.

Prediction: Boyd will have his work cut out for him with this young Cincinnati team, they are fast and can hit. I think this Reds team will be too tough for the Tigers to keep up with. Take the Reds (-162) in this one.
