Ethan Payne scores one run against Bristol

Tennessee senior Ethan Payne scored one run for Johnson City Monday.

Payne, who started at second base for the Doughboys in its 14-6 victory against the Bristol State Liners in the Appalachian League, recorded three walks and scored.

Payne has appeared in 25 games for Johnson City, recording a .162 batting average. He has totaled 12 hits, two doubles, one home run, eight RBIs and one stolen base.

As a junior at Tennessee in 2022, he recorded a .286 batting average, three RBIs and seven runs in 18 games.
