After winning Game 1 of the National League wild-card series, the Los Angeles Dodgers have the chance Thursday night to finish off the Milwaukee Brewers and advance to the NL Division Series.
The top-seeded Dodgers won 4-2 on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium, drawing two bases-loaded walks in the first inning to take a leader they would never relinquish. Los Angeles starter Walker Buehler struck out eight in four innings and the bullpen combined for five shutout innings to finish things off.
The winner of this series faces the winner of the San Diego Padres-St. Louis Cardinals series in the NLDS, which begins next Tuesday at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

The Dodgers turn to 32-year-old Clayton Kershaw (6-2, 2.16 ERA) with the chance to finish off the series. The three-time Cy Young winner has been famously uneven in the postseason, posting a 4.43 ERA in 158⅓ career innings. In his last four postseason appearances (three starts), Kershaw is 0-3 with a blown save and a 7.27 ERA across 17⅓ innings.
For the Brewers, right-hander Brandon Woodruff (3-5, 3.05 ERA) takes the mound trying to extend the team's season. The 27-year-old made 13 starts in the regular season and has given up just three earned runs in 16⅓ career postseason innings. Coming out of the bullpen in Game 1 of the 2018 NLCS against the Dodgers, Woodruff hit a solo home run against Kershaw.
