Sod Poodles come alive late to down Arkansas in 12 innings
It took a bit longer than normal, but the Amarillo Sod Poodles pulled out a victory Friday night.
A day after dropping both games in a double header, Amarillo fought through an extra innings contest against the Arkansas Travelers on the road. Neither team possessed much offense the first nine innings, but Amarillo had more than enough in the 12th to take home the 4-1 win. The Soddies are now 20-23 on the season.

It was certainly a pitchers dual between the two starters. Slade Cecconi gave up just three hits in six innings of work for Amarillo while Arkansas ace Levi Stoudt struck out eight while giving up just three hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings of work.
Neither team did anything on offense until Blaze Alexander's solo home run in the fifth inning to put the Soddies up 1-0. Jack Larsen's RBI groundout to score Patrick Frick in the seventh tied the game up for Arkansas and the game ended up going to extras.
After two scoreless extra innings, Amarillo woke up in a big way in the 12th. Nick Dalesandro's ground rule double scored Ti'Quan Forbes to put the Soddies up and Roby Enriquez's two-run homer scored himself and Dalesandro to make it a 4-1 Amarillo lead. Arkansas couldn't do anything in the bottom of the 12th and Amarillo got the win.
