Third overall pick Jackson Jobe is officially a Tiger. So is second-round pick shortstop Izaac Pacheco.

The club agreed to deals with Jobe and Pacheco Friday, saving money on the former and splurging on the latter.

Jobe, one of the most advanced high-school pitchers in recent draft memory, signed for $6.9 million, according to's Jim Callis, about $300,000 under slot for the third overall selection.

Pacheco, a high-schooler with 'huge raw power' who projects as a third baseman, signed for $2.75 million, per Callis, about $850,000 over slot for the 39th overall selection.

Per the Tigers, both Jobe and Pacheco are currently at the club’s spring training complex in Lakeland, where they will begin their professional careers.

The club has now signed 14 of its 21 draft picks this year, including No. 32 overall pick Ty Madden.
