Trevor Bauer responded to trade rumors by joking about another drone injury

Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer suffered an absolutely disgusting (and bizarre) injury during Cleveland's 2016 World Series run when a drone sliced his finger.

Bauer was trying to repair a drone ahead of the biggest start of his MLB career, which was a weird thing to do. He got hurt, and two years later, Bauer hasn't escaped that drone incident. In fact, he jokingly used it to his advantage.

The Indians' rotation - particularly Bauer and Corey Kluber - has been a popular target in trade rumors this offseason. If something were to happen to Bauer's finger like - I don't know - another drone accident, that would certainly impact his trade value.

Bauer gave that theory a try on Twitter. He tweeted Monday that he had stuck his finger in a drone … again.

The Indians pitcher waited just long enough to get the MLB media looking into legitimacy of the injury before he revealed that it was all a joke.

He tweeted a photo with his middle finger in a drone blade.

It was all part of his plan.

Yeah, he's taking the trade rumors well.

Just please, Trevor, don't cut your finger on a drone and then display the injury on national television again. That was gross.
