Ever wonder what Myles Garrett and Nick Chubb were like in middle school?

You’ll get to find out Thursday and Sunday when they participate in the new 2023 Pro Bowl Games in Las Vegas — complete with a skills competition and flag football games — along with guards Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller.

Garrett, Bitonio and Chubb were original members of the AFC Pro Bowl squad, while Teller was added Monday to replace Super-Bowl bound Chiefs guard Joe Thuney. Other alternates for the Browns who didn’t get the call up for a chance to whip a ball at an opponent, toss a water balloon or rip a flag from an NFC player were receiver Amari Cooper, right tackle Jack Conklin, cornerback Denzel Ward, and tight end David Njoku. Replacing Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is Bills tight end Dawson Knox, the first alternate.

The Games will begin Thursday night live on ESPN from 7-8:30 p.m. ET with the skills competition at Intermountain Healthcare Performance Center, the Las Vegas Raiders’ headquarters and practice facility. The fun will continue on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC with more of the eight skills competitions (described below) and the Flag Football games. Peyton Manning will coach the AFC squad and Eli Manning the NFC.

Pro Bowl players were determined by a vote of fans, players and coaches, with each group counting one-third towards the selection of the 88 honorees. The NFL is the only sports league in which fans, players and coaches vote on its All-Stars.

Garrett, appearing in his fourth Pro Bowl, will participate in the Dodgeball game Thursday night and the Gridiron Gauntlet on Sunday. Chubb, also appearing in his fourth Pro Bowl, will participate in Dodgeball Thursday night, the Gridiron Gauntlet on Sunday, and the Flag Football Game on Sunday. He’s the only Browns player playing flag, with no linemen in the games.

Bitonio, appearing in his fifth straight Pro Bowl, will participate in Lightning Round on Thursday and the Gridiron Gauntlet on Sunday. Teller, appearing in his second Pro Bowl, will participate in the Lightning Round Thursday and Move the Chains on Sunday.

The Browns will be well-represented in Sunday’s Gridiron Gauntlet, comprising three of the five AFC Players.
