The San Antonio Spurs' new partnership with Self Financial is producing new Austin-style branding. Pedicab advertisements featuring young Spurs player Josh Primo are now rolling through downtown Austin.

The Instagram account for the Austin Spurs, the G League team of the San Antonio franchise, promoted the new look on Monday, August 15, to celebrate National Finance Awareness Day.

"POV: you ride around Austin in style," the post reads. "Who’s seen our pedicabs in downtown atx?"

Primo, who has also starred in commercials for Self, is highlighted on the advertisement along with the slogan "Building dreams together."

The Spurs official Instagram page chimed in saying "This is dope."

Austin Pedicab Company, the on-demand ride service, promoted the new advertising space on August 2, along with Texas-based jeweler Kendra Scott.

Spurs Sport and Entertainment, the group that manages the team and the AT&T Center, says the new ads are a way to connect with fans throughout the San Antonio and Austin region.

"As part of our partnership launch, we wanted to share the message of 'Building Dreams Together' and engage with our communities," SS&E stated in an email to MySA. "To symbolize our partnership and connection with both San Antonio and Austin, we launched ads across the region inspiring fans to build dreams."

San Antonio residents can expect to see the marketing materials on buses and on three Interstate 35 billboards: two in San Marcos (one heading to Austin and another going toward San Antonio) and one in Schertz southbound to San Antonio.

In addition to joining the Spurs in new Austin branding opportunities, Self is also the team's jersey patch for the upcoming NBA season. The Spurs announced the new major partnership with the Austin-based credit building company in June

"You're going to see a lot of Self across all our platforms," Spurs Chief Executive Officer RC Buford said during the June announcement at the AT&T Center.
