Seminole, Muleshoe riders qualify for 2022 PBR World Finals

The 2022 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) World Finals will feature a pair of local riders. 

Seminole's Andrew Alvidrez and Muleshoe's Dalton Kasel are among the 40 qualifiers announced for the event, which will begin Friday in Dickies Arena at Fort Worth. 

The event will feature riders from all over the world, including Brazil, New York, Florida and Australia. Alvidrez and Kasel are two of the six riders from Texas that will be competing. 

One rider, not including ride score points, will have the chance to earn a maximum of 1,200 world points. The winner of each of the seven rounds will earn 80 world points and the event winner will earn 560. 

Following the eight-round competition, one rider will be awarded the gold buckle and a $1 million bonus. 

Each of the rounds will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. The final championship round is scheduled for May 22.
