Check out the official results and highlights from WWE SummerSlam.

It's the second-biggest night of the WWE calendar year — WWE SummerSlam takes place tonight from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

It's only the second time in history that SummerSlam takes place on a Saturday, and it's the first time that a Saturday SummerSlam airs live (the 1992 edition at London's Wembley Stadium was taped on a Saturday and aired two days later in the U.S.).

The expected main event and biggest match on the SmackDown portion of the card will see Roman Reigns defend the Universal Championship against John Cena. Cena returned at last month's Money in the Bank pay-per-view and challenged Reigns for the title the next night. While Reigns rejected the challenge at first, it was Cena who ultimately signed the contract over Finn Balor and Baron Corbin.

After weeks of intense promos between the two over Cena's legacy and previous face of the company status, and Reigns' current top-dog status, Reigns said on last night's SmackDown that with a loss, he will leave WWE forever. Cena beating Reigns for the title will also allow Cena to become a 17-time world champion in WWE.

The Raw brand has been dominated by a feud between defending WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg. Goldberg returned the night after Money in the Bank to challenge Lashley for the title. While Lashley refused the challenge at first, it was soon confirmed for the event. Goldberg looks for his third run as Universal Champion in this matchup.
