As noted by the Associated Press (h/t ESPN), Miami Heat All-Star Bam Adebayo was upgraded to questionable ahead of Tuesday's Game 4 of the NBA Finals versus the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 23-year-old missed Game 2 and Game 3 of the series because of a shoulder injury that he aggravated in Game 1 last Wednesday and a neck strain. Miami dropped the first two contests but cut into Los Angeles' series lead with a 115-104 win on Sunday night.

Adebayo was stellar against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, as he averaged 21.8 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.2 assists over six games. He scored eight points in 21 minutes against Los Angeles before the injury issues sidelined him.

"I'm trying to get back as quickly as possible," Adebayo told reporters on Monday. "They're just trying to make sure I'm safe and I'm ready to play. It's really day-to-day. When they say I'm ready to play, I'll be out there."

Adebayo added:

"I don't miss games. That's not me. That's not how I'm built. I want to play. I've always been like that. I've always got the thrill of just putting on that uniform and going out there and playing. To be in the Finals and the medical staff is telling me I can't play ... it sucks. But I understand."

Miami didn't provide a similar positive update on guard Goran Dragic, who remains doubtful because of the torn left plantar fascia he suffered in Game 1 against the Lakers.

Dragic has played in only 15 minutes during the Finals.
