Just in case there wasn't enough intrigue surrounding this year's trade deadline, Kyrie Irving has decided to inform the Nets that he wants out.

Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news that Irving wants to be traded before next Thursday's deadline. He made this decision after contract talks with the Nets stalled.

It didn't take long for basketball fans to speculate where Irving could end up.

Apparently, most of the NBA world wants to see Irving reunite with LeBron James in Los Angeles.

"Kyrie to the Lakers," a Los Angeles fan said. "Make it happen!"

"LeBron getting ready to trade Russ, Schroder, and all of the Lakers’ draft picks for Kyrie," another fan tweeted.

"Kyrie to the Lakers," ESPN's Robert Griffin III said.

Kevin O'Conner of The Ringer tweeted, "Kyrie to the Lakers?"

It's unclear if the Nets will grant Irving's wish. They have until Feb. 9 to make a decision.

Do you think the Lakers should pursue Irving?
