To kick off the NBA's 75th anniversary season, the league released their highly anticipated list of the 75 greatest players. A list of 25 players was released each of the first three nights of the NBA season and Thursday produced the completed list of 76 players.

Yes, an additional player was added to this list due to a tie in voting, which makes sense because you can never have enough players on a list. The list has six former Detroit Pistons on the list: Isiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman, Dave Bing, Dave DeBusschere, Allen Iverson, and Bob McAdoo.

Detroit's own George Gervin and Michigan State's — and Lansing native — Magic Johnson also made the list to little surprise — they were both on the NBA's top-50 list 25 years ago.

Of the Pistons' selections, Iverson — who played 54 games in Detroit from 2008-09 — McAdoo, and Rodman are the newest additions on the list.  All of the players who made the NBA's 50 Greatest Players list retained their spots.

The NBA will be celebrating the 75th anniversary all season long, with a commemoration of this diamond anniversary at the NBA's All Star Game in Cleveland in February.
