Former Louisville forward V.J. King has reportedly signed an undrafted free-agent deal with the NBA's New York Knicks.

King, who chose to forego his NCAA eligibility to go pro, worked out for multiple teams including the Knicks leading up to Thursday's NBA draft. Although he was not drafted, King and the Knicks agreed to a deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported.

King himself seemed to confirm the news in a tweet Friday, writing, "All I needed was a chance... Thank you @nyknicks for the opportunity!!"

Terms of the deal were unreported. A New York Knicks spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

King declared for the NBA draft in March after an underwhelming junior season at Louisville, where he averaged 13.6 minutes, 3.9 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in 2018-19.

In July, the Knicks begin play in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
