The Houston Rockets completed a trade with the Chicago Bulls on Monday that is centered around veteran point guard Michael Carter-Williams.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Rockets are sending Carter-Williams and cash to Chicago in exchange for a future conditional second-round pick. The move is a financially-motivated one for both sides, as the Bulls are expected to waive Carter-Williams.

Carter-Williams, a former No. 11 overall pick of the Philadelphia 76ers, is averaging 4.3 points while playing just 9.1 minutes per game — his lowest contribution in five-plus NBA seasons. He has played for five different teams during his career.
