Kyrie Irving may not be with the Brooklyn Nets anymore but his actions while there continue to follow him around the NBA.

Now a member of the Dallas Mavericks, Irving got into it with a New Orleans Pelicans fan on Wednesday and their verbal altercation ended with the fan calling out the conspiracy-minded NBA star over the antisemitic film he shared a link to on social media and was slow to apologize over.

Video of the incident picked up after whatever started things, but Irving is seen responding to what is assumed to be heckling.

“Nothing like fans telling me how to play basketball. How does that make sense?” Irving said in the direction of a fan.

“Do you want me to tell you how to post on Amazon?” the heckler responded. “Do you want me to tell you about Amazon posts?”

Many haven’t forgotten how Irving shared a link to Amazon for a film with antisemitic disinformation. He initially refused to apologize for it, was suspended indefinitely by the Nets, and was only allowed to return after apologizing.

After he was traded to the Mavericks, Irving seemed to imply that his apology might not have been as heartfelt as it initially seemed.

Dallas hasn’t improved very much since getting Irving, so we’ll have to see how much value he ends up providing on the court compared to the drama that surrounds him off of it.
