The Warriors enlisted Mully to turn back the clock with their latest jersey drop. And Steph Curry approves.

On Monday morning, Warriors legend Chris Mullin dressed up like a member of Run DMC, in a nod to the Run TMC days of yesteryear. That’s because he was modeling the Warriors’ “Classic Edition” jersey for the 2022-23 season.

Dub Nation has been waiting for this one to drop.

Golden State rocked the bold gold font and lighter blue shade from 1989-97 and during the height of the Run TMC era – when Mully, Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond were running the show for the entertaining Warriors. With Hardaway’s enshrinement in 2022, all three members are now in the Hall of Fame.

Curry, the current Warriors legend, got a first-hand look at the Classic Edition jersey and approved of the old-school captain’s ‘C’ that Mully used to rock.

“That’s kind of fire right there,” Curry said.

Those jerseys are probably going to sell big numbers this year. Seeing contemporary Dubs rock those threads will be cool for Warriors fans from different eras. Not to mention, the floor design on Classic Edition nights will also be a throwback to those days in Oakland.
