Cincinnati Bearcats standout Jarron Cumberland withdrew his name from NBA Draft consideration and will return to the UC basketball program for his senior season, according to his Twitter.

The former Wilmington High School star averaged 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game during his junior year for the Bearcats.

Cumberland was not expected to be a first-round pick, according to the most recent mock draft updates.

The former Wilmington High School star announced last month that he would "test the waters" and see where he stood in the draft process.

Cumberland reportedly was not among 10 players advancing from the NBA G League Elite Camp that concluded Tuesday to the NBA Combine, per a report via Twitter from ESPN's Jonathan Givony. Cumberland was one of 30 players invited to the NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago.

Some have speculated on social media that Cumberland's cousin, Jaevin, a grad transfer from Oakland who starred with Jarron at Wilmington and would be immediately eligible to play during the 2019-20 season, might consider UC if Jarron were to return for his senior season.

With the order set for the 2019 NBA Draft scheduled for June 20, former Moeller High School standout Jaxson Hayes of Texas projects as a lottery pick.
