Who's Playing

Iowa @ No. 17 Iowa State

Current Records: Iowa 7-2; Iowa State 8-0

What to Know

The #17 Iowa State Cyclones haven't won a game against the Iowa Hawkeyes since Dec. 7 of 2017, but they'll be looking to end the drought Thursday. Iowa State will look to defend their home court against Iowa at 9 p.m. ET. The Cyclones will be strutting in after a victory while Iowa will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Iowa State didn't have too much breathing room in their contest with the Creighton Bluejays on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 64-58 win. Iowa State's guard Caleb Grill filled up the stat sheet, picking up 16 points.

Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes entered their matchup against the Illinois Fighting Illini on Monday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. It was close but no cigar for Iowa as they fell 87-83 to Illinois. Iowa got double-digit scores from four players: forward Keegan Murray (19), guard Tony Perkins (16), forward Patrick McCaffery (12), and guard Ahron Ulis (11).

Iowa State is expected to lose this next one by 4.5. Those who got lucky with them against the spread on Saturday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the squad has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
