Sterling City defeated Wellman-Union on Friday in Class 1A volleyball action and the Lady Eagles' Saturday match with Veribest was cancelled.

Sterling City beat Wellman-Union on the road, 25-17, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20.

The Lady Eagles improved to 2-0 for the season and travel to Bronte on Monday before hosting Grape Creek Friday and San Angelo TLCA Saturday.

Wall 3, Fort Stockton 0

Wall defeated 4A Fort Stockton 25-17, 25-6, 25-22 in action Saturday in Wall.

The 3A Lady Hawks are 4-0 to start the season.

On Friday at a dual meet in Snyder, Wall beat Wink 16-25, 25-18, 25-12, 25-19, and beat Snyder 26-24, 21-25, 25-13, 25-23.

Wall travels to Miles on Tuesday.

Bronte 3, Hawley 1

Bronte finished Saturday dual match action with a 21-25, 25-23, 25-14, 25-16 win over Hawley.

Earlier, 3A Breckenridge took down the Lady Longhorns 15-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-22.

Bronte hosts Sterling City on Monday. 

Grape Creek 3, Coahoma 0

Grape Creek defeated Coahoma 25-20, 18-25, 15-11 in action Saturday to claim its first win of the season.

The Lady Eagles (1-2) played Sweetwater earlier Saturday and fell 25-23, 25-22.

Coahoma 3, Sweetwater 0

Coahoma beat Sweetwater 26-24, 21-25, 15-13.

Julia Cox had seven kills for the Bulldogettes while Ashley Romero had five. MaKynlee Overton had four kills and two blocks. 

Coahoma hosts Lubbock Estacado Tuesday.

Harper 3, Llano 1

Harper rallied on the road to beat 3A Llano 21-25, 25-12, 25-15, 25-21 Friday.

Talli Millican had 14 kills and four blocks to lead Harper while Rachel Perkins had 15 assists, nine digs and three service aces.

The 2A Lady Longhorns (1-1) host Leakey on Tuesday.

Fredericksburg 3, Sonora 1

4A Fredericksburg defeated 3A Sonora 25-10, 25-14, 18-25, 25-12 in Sonora on Friday.

The Lady Broncos (2-1) host 1A Water Valley (1-0) on Tuesday.

Brady 3, Paint Rock 0

3A Brady swept 1A Paint Rock 25-12, 25-22, 25-18 at home Saturday.

Paige Bauer had six kills, four digs, five aces and three blocks to lead the Lady Bulldogs (1-1).

Analysia Fuentes had six digs while Addison Garcia had eight aces.

The Brady JV won 25-12, 25-18.
