Welcome back to ‘AL.com Recruiting’ with Simone Eli and Ben Thomas.

This week, we’re focused on Gordo 4-star quarterback Tanner Bailey, a rare Auburn and Alabama legacy who committed to Oregon just a little over a month ago.

Even after missing 5 games in 2020 due to a broken collarbone, the two-sport star still led the Green Wave to the 4A title game, dropping 222 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. Bailey is ‘at peace’ with his Oregon commitment, but what persuaded the QB to head to the PAC-12 rather than stay in-state or in the SEC?

Simone and Ben also tap into the top 2022 quarterback prospects in the state of Alabama, including Conner Harrell (Thompson), Zach Pyron (Pinson Valley/Baylor commit) & Khalib Johnson (Clay-Chalkville).

Catch our AL.com Recruiting show every Wednesday (12:30 a.m. Central) either on our Alabama Crimson Tide on AL.com YouTube Channel or our Auburn Tigers on AL.com YouTube Channel.
