Whenever there is a new staff in town at any program across the country, it gives every single player on the roster a chance at starting fresh and making a name for themselves.

A chance that players like Colorado walk-on running back Charlie Offerdahl is not taking for granted. The junior running back has been shining during spring practice, and in a video posted by Well Off Media on Friday, Offerdahl can be seen powering for a long run. Following the great play he was surrounded by a group of teammates cheering for him, while also earning a hug from head coach Deion Sanders.

Coach Prime even asked Offerdahl to talk to the team after practice, which he took the chance to discuss his love for his team. Sanders than responded with something that caused the squad to erupt again saying:

“Tell you what, you keep on balling out, you ain’t gonna be a walk-on for long.”

After not registering a stat during his freshman year, Offerdahl totaled 37 carries for 150-yards this past season. While Colorado's running back room projects to be one of the deeper position groups on the roster heading into next season, Offerdahl is taking full advantage of the reps available due to the absence of Kentucky transfer Kavosiey Smoke, who is not yet on campus.

It appears that Offerdahl is well on his way to being in the next heartwarming video about a walk-on getting a scholarship.
