Chief among the benefits Deion Sanders has brought to the Colorado Buffaloes has been his recruiting aptitude.

The larger-than-life Sanders exudes a confidence that makes football prospects want to suit up for him. We saw this with his recruitment of 5-Star talent Cormani McClain, as well as his acquisitions of 4-Star prospects Dylan Edwards, Adam Hopkins, and Omarion Miller.

And Sanders' recruiting focus hasn't been limited to the coming season. According to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, Sanders and Colorado have landed a commitment from highly touted Class of 2024 quarterback Danny O'Neil.

A product of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis, O'Neil spoke to the recruiting process that brought him aboard.

"I just think the people there really sold it for me. Obviously it's a beautiful place and a lot of hype there with Coach Prime, but being able to connect with Coach Prime and [offensive coordinator Sean Lewis] really sold it for me and made it feel like home," O'Neil told Wiltfong.

It's a considerable coup for Sanders and company, as O'Neil was reported by 247Sports to have generated interested from Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, and Purdue.

2023 is tabbed to be a rebuilding season for Coach Prime and the Buffaloes, as Sanders is in the nascent stages of fostering a winning football culture on campus. But if the recruitment of O'Neil is any indication, the future is bright in Boulder.
