Louisville football is back to its winning ways.

The Cardinals (2-4) defeated Florida State 48-16 on Saturday to end a four-game losing streak. The offense finally erupted for 569 yards, and the defense held Florida State to five yards per play.

Louisville will look to continue that success this Saturday when Virginia Tech comes to town. The Hokies (3-2) are coming off a 23-16 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday that knocked them out of the top 25.

Still, Virginia Tech is a dangerous team led by a good quarterback in Hendon Hooker and standout running back Khalil Herbert.

Herbert is second in the ACC in rushing yards, just behind Javian Hawkins, with 656 yards. He's averaging 8.7 yards per carry and 131.2 yards per game with five touchdowns.

Hooker is a dual-threat quarterback that pairs nicely with Herbert. Since taking over the starting role for the Hokies three weeks ago, he's thrown for 470 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions. All three interceptions came against Wake Forest. Hooker is also the team's second-leading rusher, with 291 yards.

Louisville, despite being the host, opened as a three-point underdog in the game.

Virginia Tech holds a 5-2 record in the series and won the last matchup in 2006, a 35-24 win in the Gator Bowl. Louisville is 2-1 against the Hokies when at home, though.

Here's everything you need to know to watch the Cardinals as they look to get on a winning streak for the first time this season.
