Memphis quarterback Connor Adair enters transfer portal
Memphis junior quarterback Connor Adair is officially in the transfer portal after leaving the team in November, the USA Today Network has learned.
He was the second-string quarterback since 2018 and appeared in nine games over three seasons with 21 pass attempts.
He played in two games in 2020, with his last appearance coming in the Tigers' win over Stephen F. Austin. He wasn't on the roster for the team's final three games.

Ten of the 16 Memphis players who opted out since the start of fall camp have entered the transfer portal, including four who entered after the season.
Five additional players transferred after the season ended, including starting offensive lineman Obinna Eze and starting defensive back TJ Carter, who both ended up at TCU. Running back Kenneth Gainwell and wide receiver Damonte Coxie opted out and declared for the NFL Draft.
Adair's departure means the Tigers have only one returning player who's thrown a pass for them. Wide receiver Calvin Austin III had a seven-yard completion to Brady White on a trick play against Tulane.
The competition to replace White will be the top storyline entering spring practice. Arizona transfer Grant Gunnell joined a quarterback room that includes returners Peter Parrish, Keilon Brown and Drake Day. Freshman three-star quarterback Seth Henigan also enrolled this week in spring classes.
