Michigan’s football program continues to reap the benefits of back-to-back wins over Ohio State.

The Wolverines landed their second recruit from Ohio in as many days as Lakewood St. Edward three-star offensive tackle Ben Roebuck announced his commitment on Wednesday in a social media post.

The 6-foot-7, 320-pounder is ranked as the No. 455 overall recruit nationally, per the 247Sports Composite, and chose Michigan over 22 other reported offers, including Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan State. Ohio State has reported interest in Roebuck, but has not yet offered.

Roebuck was one of more than a dozen prospects to visit Ann Arbor last weekend and the second to verbally pledge since then, joining Cincinnati (Ohio) Archbishop Moeller four-star running back Jordan Marshall, a top-100 recruit.

The three-star offensive lineman becomes Michigan’s ninth commit in the 2024 class and the second at his position, joining Avon (Ohio) four-star interior linemen Luke Hamilton. Four of the Wolverines’ pledges this cycle are from Ohio, while the program also inked four from the Buckeye state in the 2023 class.

Michigan’s 2024 class ranks No. 5 nationally.
