The Nebraska Cornhuskers are not really hiding the fact that they’re interested in hiring Scott Frost away from UCF.

Athletic director Bill Moos confirmed Saturday that Frost, a former Nebraska quarterback, is very much under consideration for the school’s now-vacant coaching position after Mike Riley was fired earlier in the day.

There’s a lot of sentimental value in hiring Frost, who was the starting quarterback for Nebraska’s undefeated 1997 team. He may, however, have other, potentially more appealing options once he’s ready to assess and decide on his future.
