10. HokieBird, Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech's old mascot, Gobbler, was a turkey. HokieBird is something else. Introduced in 1982 and revamped once more in 1987-it's looked the same ever since-Tech's beloved mascot appears more like a cardinal than a turkey.
