Tennessee offensive lineman and former five-star signee Wanya Morris has entered the transfer portal.

Former five-star recruit Wanya Morris is leaving Tennessee football after entering the transfer portal, according to David Ubben of The Athletic.

The news isn't entirely shocking as speculation about Morris leaving Tennessee has lingered since the end of the season. If he does indeed end up leaving the program, this will be a major blow for Tennessee football coach Jeremy Pruitt and his offense.

Wanya Morris entering the transfer portal an indictment on Jeremy Pruitt

When the 6-foot-5, 320-pound lineman arrived to Knoxville, he wasted zero time making an immediate impact as a true freshman. In '19, Morris appeared in all 13 games and made 12 starts at left tackle. He was so impressive, he earned SEC All-Freshman honors and was named a true freshman All-American by 247Sports.

This past season, Morris played in nine games and made seven starts. Because of his great feet and speed for his size, he was known for being an outstanding blocker for the Vols. Now, however, it's looking like Morris could be ready to take his talents to a new program. Morris picked Tennessee over Auburn, Clemson, Florida State and Oklahoma when he was the No. 28 overall recruit and No. 6 tackle and could be eying a move to one of those programs now.

Earlier this offseason, Tennessee also saw quarterback Jarrett Guarantano enter the transfer portal. He's since signed with Washington State. With Morris now having one foot out the door, it only adds to what's already been a bit of a rough offseason for Pruitt who could be on the hottest seat in college football in 2021.
