Former Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer has interesting insight into the 2022 Peach Bowl.

Meyer, now with Fox Sports’ Big Noon Kickoff crew after a disastrous 11-month stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars, couldn’t resist referring to the Buckeyes as “we” while previewing their New Year’s Eve primetime matchup with the Georgia Bulldogs in interviews with On3 and other outlets.

Meyer, however, wasn’t without praise for the Bulldogs. Meyer tabbed Heisman Trophy finalist Stetson Bennett IV as the “most underrated” player in college football.

“Stetson Bennett is the most underrated player in college football,” Meyer told the outlet.

“I think he’s a winner, I think he plays with his legs, plays with his head,” Meyer (seen above on the sidelines during a Sept. 24 Michigan-Maryland game he worked for Fox) said. “He’s a pretty good passer. Size is an issue, but he plays tough, he plays very physical. He’ll get you the first downs.

“He won’t be a first-round draft pick. [Buckeyes quarterback] C.J. Stroud will be. His accuracy […] he sees the field. He’s going to have to have a big day. I think [Ohio State has] an edge, but it’s not as big an edge as everyone thinks. Stetson Bennett’s a winner.”

Meyer would know what it takes for a quarterback to win a national title. He won three national titles with two universities in his career.
