Bengals running back Joe Mixon is 1,000-yard rusher for third time in five NFL seasons
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in rushing during the second quarter of Sunday's overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers at Paul Brown Stadium.
Mixon, who entered Sunday's Week 14 game tied for second in the National Football League with 978 rushing yards, surpassed 1,000 yards on the ground for the third time in his five NFL seasons.
Mixon finished the game with 58 rushing yards on 18 carries, along with two catches for 10 yards.

Mixon, a second-round pick of the Bengals in the 2017 NFL Draft, had a career-best 1,168 rushing yards in 2018. He finished the 2019 season with 1,137 yards on the ground.
