At 3-7, Broncos general manager John Elway and coach Vance Joseph aren't going to put up with much, even on Thanksgiving Day.

Denver cut cornerback Lorenzo Doss before practice Thursday because he was late to a meeting that morning, according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold. Doss has been late to more than one meeting in the past, according to KUSA-TV's Mike Klis.

Doss was selected by the Broncos in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft out of Tulane. The 23-year-old cornerback has looked good in training camp over the last three summers but he was unable to climb up the depth chart behind Pro Bowlers Aqib Talib and Chris Harris and former first-round pick Bradley Roby.

The team selected Brendan Langley in the third round of this year's draft out of Lamar, which was a bad sign for Doss. Langley has served as the team's No. 4 cornerback this season and Doss was active for just three games.

Doss has dressed for 15 games for the Broncos over the last three seasons, recording four tackles and breaking up two passes. Joseph said the team probably won't fill Doss's spot on the 53-man roster before Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Denver also signed outside linebacker Stansly Maponga to the 10-man practice, which is now full. Maponga will wear jersey No. 59.
