Cardinals second-round pick Christian Kirk was arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct and property damage in early February, according to a report by azcentral.com.

The 21-year-old wide receiver was selected 47th overall by the Cardinals in the 2018 NFL Draft almost two months later.

Kirk and a group of friends were allegedly seen throwing rocks outside the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament prior to his arrest, according to the report, and the case is currently pending. The group was intoxicated at the time, according to a statement from the Scottsdale Police.

The Cardinals said they knew about the incident before they selected Kirk.

“We spoke with Christian about it at length and also looked into it independently,” the team said in a statement. “Our understanding is that the process will be resolved in the near future but while it remains an active legal matter, we won’t comment further.”

Kirk caught 71 passes while at Texas A&M last season, tallying 919 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. He registered 26 touchdowns over his three-year career with the Aggies.

Kirk attended the Cardinals minicamp from May 11-13.
