The Chiefs just keep winning even after the Super Bowl.

The Kansas City Chiefs are winning even after the Super Bowl, something they can't seem to stop doing. They just win any competition there is, and in this case, it was to see who could get the best signings or biggest steals in free agency. The Chiefs did that.

They have somehow managed to keep getting the best steal, whether it be through free agency in guys like Charles Omenihu, and others, or through the draft, as they played several days three guys during their Super Bowl run, including Isiah Pacheco, a seventh-round pick who started the whole second half of the season.

Charles Omenihu isn't the only steal they got. There are ESPN analysts out there that seem to think the Chiefs got the biggest steals or the best bargain out of two other guys during free agency.

Jason Reid, senior Andscape writer: S Mike Edwards to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs got the former Buccaneers starter on a cheap, one-year deal, and he will be a great (and cost-effective) addition to the secondary. He had two interceptions and 82 tackles last season.

Field Yates, NFL analyst: LB Drue Tranquill to the Kansas City Chiefs. Tranquill is coming off of clearly his best season, in which he made an impact all over the field. The Chiefs did not necessarily have a glaring need at linebacker, but their front office continues to stand out in finding players at varying price points to beef up a ready-to-repeat roster. Tranquill will really help.

The Chiefs lost Juan Thornhill to the Cleveland Browns, so getting another safety for a defensive system like Steve Spagnuolo's that likes to use three safety sets a lot was paramount. They were bound to do it, and they were able to get one of the best available guys in free agency for very cheap. Edwards has great ball skills and is going to be put in positions to make plays.

Tranquill was the best linebacker on the Los Angeles Chargers last season and is now the highest-paid linebacker on the Chiefs. He will likely be the best coverage linebacker on the Chefs too, as we can assume he takes the role Willie Gay Jr. previously had.

The Chiefs are playing a game that others can't seem to compete in. They just got both of those guys for extremely cheap, and they immediately make the team better or keep the talent level the same, while paying less than other teams maybe would have.
