Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette was arrested for speeding and knowingly driving with a suspended license, according to Jacksonville jail records obtained by Ryan Nelson of CBS47 Jacksonville.

Video of Fournette being booked at the Duval County jail has also emerged.

The Jaguars have since issued a statement acknowledging the developing situation.

"The Jacksonville Jaguars are aware of the situation involving running back Leonard Fournette and are continuing to gather more information," the team said in a statement obtained by ESPN's Michael DiRocco. "No further comment will be provided at this time."

Fournette, a first-round draft pick in 2017, has been on rocky ground with the Jaguars since his 1,000-yard rookie season. He was suspended one week in November for inciting a fight during a game, which led to the team voiding $7 million in contract guarantees, and threatened to fight a fan during a blowout loss in December.

Executive vice president Tom Coughlin called he and teammate T.J. Yeldon "disrespectful" and "selfish" for their conduct while sitting on the bench during a late-season game.

However, Coughlin expressed "full confidence" in the 24-year-old during a press conference in March.

"He had an outstanding year (as a rookie); he had a very disappointing year (last season). We want him to be a great player and I think he's in the same mindset," Coughlin said.
