Brendan Gaffney and Jonathan Muinde each scored in the second quarter to help Simsbury High, ranked No. 8 in The Courant area top 10, edge Glastonbury 14-7 in a CCC interdivision game Friday night at Glastonbury High.

Daniel Sohn had 21 carries for 101 yards for Simsbury (8-1). Ryan Smith had a touchdown and Brandon Myers had 21 carries for 111 yards and added 17 tackles for the Tomahawks (3-6).

Bloomfield 41, Berlin 6: Anthony Simpson had more than 200 yards on offense to help Bloomfield roll past Berlin in a CCC interdivision game at Sage Park in Berlin. Simpson had 10 catches for 146 yards and a touchdown and rushed 10 times for 104 yards and two scores.

Daron Bryden was 16-for-23 for 369 yards and two TDs and Jayvon Massey had 159 yards and a TD receiving for the 9-0 Warhawks, ranked No. 5 in state. John McGeever had 18 rushes for 132 yards and Jamie Palmese had four catches for 84 yards and a TD for 7-2 Berlin, ranked No. 9 in the area.

Wethersfield 13, Hall 10: The visiting Eagles’ defense stifled Hall in a CCC interdivisional win at West Hartford. Johnny Orsini ran one in from 6 yards out in the first quarter, Connor Pace caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from Matt Silver and that was all it took for Wethersfield (7-2). Matt Keller rushed for a TD and Noe Ruelas connected on a 31-yard field goal for Hall (6-3).

Middletown 35, East Hartford 20: Shaun Gaskins scored four times and Middletown topped East Hartford in a CCC interdivision home win. Gaskins had 13 carries for 57 yards and three touchdowns and scored again on a 15-yard fumble return. Chris Danas passed for 229 yards and a TD for Middletown (6-3). Malik Bennett rushed for 133 yards and two TDs and caught a 74-yard TD pass for East Hartford (1-8).

Farmington 47, RHAM 0: Jake Conrad threw for seven touchdowns and Farmington earned a CCC Division II East shutout win over RHAM at home. Mike Gregory caught three of those touchdowns and Niko Bouzakis, Josh Degrandi, Mitch Gugliemo and Abhi Gadangi each hauled in one for Farmington (5-4). RHAM drops to 1-8.

Conard 31, Bristol Central 8: Arsen Shtefan scored twice and Conard defeated Bristol Central in a CCC interdivision road game in Bristol. Shtefan ran for 125 yards and a score and caught a TD and Israel Lopez passed for 102 yards and two TDs, including to Sean Rivera, for Conard (6-3). Victor Rosa ran for 153 yards and a touchdown for Bristol Central (4-5).

Rockville 54, Coventry/Windham Tech/Bolton/Lyman Memorial 0: Jaquan Dufour accounted for four touchdowns as Rockville shut out the Coventry co-op in a Pequot Uncas home win in Vernon. Dufour had two catches for 58 yards and two TDs, rushed three times for 41 yards and a score and returned a punt 59 yards for a TD. Nas Knighton had 10 tackles, four for loss, for the Rams (8-0), who match the 2004 team for most wins in a season. Coventry falls to 2-7.

Southington 42, New Britain 0: Brady Lafferty tossed four touchdown passes and Southington shut out New Britain in a CCC Division I West home game. Lafferty finished 20-for-30 for 244 yards. Carter Uhlman caught two TDs and Josh Vitti had nine catches and a score. Angelo Plantamuro had a 35-yard interception TD and Bennett had a rushing TD for Southington (8-1), ranked No. 7 in the state. New Britain falls to 3-6.

Stafford/East Windsor/Somers 26, Haddam-Killingworth 15: Mark McLaughlin had four touchdowns and the Stafford co-op topped H-K in a Pequot interdivision home game. McLaughlin rushed for 117 yards and three TDs and had 37 yards and a TD receiving. Jacob Dougan had nine tackles, Ryan Hoefle had seven tackles and Evan Gardner had a sack for Stafford (6-2). Kevin Gamache and Alex Riccitelli each had a rushing TD for H-K (1-7).

Granby/Canton 54, Gilbert/Northwestern 14: Jackson Rome’s four touchdowns led Granby/Canton to a Pequot Uncas home win over Gilbert/Northwestern. Rome rushed for 167 yards and three TDs and passed for 118 yards and a score. Colin Mackin caught 97 yards and a TD and Sam Attianese, Dylan Disabella, Sam Schock and Carter Gavin each had a rushing TDs for the Bears (7-2). Gilbert falls to 3-5.

SMSA/University/Classical 26, Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby 20: Devin Hill lead the way for the SMSA co-op with 260 total yards in a Pequot Uncas home win over the Windsor Locks co-op at Dillon Stadium. Hill had 188 passing and 72 rushing yards. Julian Ryans hauled in four catches for 128 yards and three touchdowns while Jordan Rivera rushed for 82 yards and a TD and added 11 tackles on defense for SMSA (8-1). Matt Raine ran for 77 yards and two TDs and Eric Pino had 81 yards and a score for Windsor Locks (6-2).

Maloney 30, Windsor 22: James Tarver rushed for three touchdowns and Maloney defeated Windsor in a CCC interdivision home game at Falcon Field in Meriden. Tarver rushed 28 times for 216 yards and Sergio Muniz recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for a score for the Spartans (8-1). Elijah Cromartie was 18-for-36 for 161 yards, two TDs and two interceptions for Windsor (6-3).

Late Thursday

Capital Prep/Achievement First 44, Windham 26: The Trailblazers defense led the way with four turnovers in a non-conference home win at Dillon Stadium in Hartford. Jahvon Olmstead returned two fumbles for touchdowns and Solomon Barlow had 305 passing yards, three total TDs (two passing, one rushing) and an interception for Capital Prep (2-6). Julian Ferguson had 105 receiving yards and eight tackles and Michael Brainsly had 16 tackles, three for loss. Three different Whippets scored rushing TDs and Felix Martinez had a 30-yard interception return TD for Windham (2-7).
