Look: Concert leaves Estadio Azteca field in shambles before Chiefs-Rams

After playing the Seattle Seahawks at the Coliseum on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams will head south to Mexico City. They'll "host" the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night football at Estadio Azteca, continuing the Rams' tradition of trading in home games for international contests before their stadium opens in 2020.

There may not be a game with higher expectations than Chiefs-Rams this season, but the field on which they'll play doesn't look great. A concert at the stadium left the turf destroyed just over a week before the NFL will come to town.

There's still plenty of time for the crew to fix the field and get it in game shape, but needless to say, it looks terrible right now. Shockingly, a soccer match was played in those conditions, presenting great risk of injury.
