Look: Cowboys Announce Decision On Ezekiel Elliott
The Dallas Cowboys are ready to bring at least one of their two running backs back for next season.
Both Owner Jerry Jones and Executive Vice President Stephen Jones said on Thursday that they want running back Ezekiel Elliott back for next year. They also both said they didn't notice a drop-off in his play this season.
While it's good that Elliott is likely coming back, he may have to take a pay cut, especially if the team wants to pay fellow running back Tony Pollard.
Pollard outproduced Elliott last season after he rushed for 1,007 yards compared to Elliott's 876 yards.
Elliott is scheduled to make over $16 million next season so if the Cowboys can bring that number down, it would be a big win for them.
For his career, Elliott has rushed for 8,262 yards and 68 touchdowns off 1,881 carries.
