NFL fans are roasting a leaked photo of the Rams' possible new logo
Since the Rams relocated to Los Angeles from St. Louis in 2016, the plan was to wear their mismatched uniforms (with the occasional throwback alternate) until the move to the new SoFi Stadium.
With SoFi Stadium set to open for the 2020 season, the Rams are finally going forward with their uniform and logo change. They teased the rebranding efforts and logo change earlier on Saturday with a Twitter video.
But fans on Twitter already think they’ve seen the new Rams logo, and it’s not looking to good at all.
A photo of a NFL Draft and OTA cap for a Los Angeles team hit Twitter on Saturday, showing a logo that looked nothing like the Rams (or even the Chargers) logo we’ve grown accustomed to over the years.
Then they put this up pic.twitter.com/wk6y7Noqf3

With many suggesting that the hat was Photoshopped, a second angle of the logo was tweeted. The hat included the slogan, “Time to shine.” Which cleared nothing up.

If this indeed is the Rams’ new logo, it could end up being one of the worst rebranding efforts in a recent string of bad NFL rebrands (Uh… Jets, Bucs and Browns). This particular logo looks almost like a combination of the Rams and Chargers, which is the last thing a team should want when it comes to building a recognizable identity in a city with a surplus of entertainment options.
Let’s hope for the Rams’ sake that this isn’t the real deal because fans were not feeling the look … at all.
I don't know if this is the Rams' new logo, but it looks like it'd be sold at a Walmart near SoFi Stadium for tourists who can't decide between backing the Rams and Chargers pic.twitter.com/95HFRzUSNR

If this is it you'd think the Rams would've learned from the Chargers that just because you're in LA doesn't mean your logo has to incorporate the letters LA in them. https://t.co/e2XtNhALiq

Ignoring the “neon” the overall design of the logo is hideous. What a dumb design. If this is the primary, I’m gonna riot. https://t.co/i5q2uoCGGm
This Rams leak better be wrong, because man, that’s... trash. It’s trash. It’s closer to being a Chargers logo than a Rams logo, and still, it’s real bad. Holding out hope, but yikes. pic.twitter.com/nxMiMX5pXE

Laughable

If this is truly the new Rams logo, the team may never sell another piece of merchandise ever again.
This logo is trash.
Do you agree? pic.twitter.com/DTJTSkDvyP

This is probably the new L.A. Rams logo and it suuuuucks https://t.co/t8U2A4POAo

If leak is true, the new Rams logo is horrendous. It can easily be mistake for a Chargers cap from a distance.
Woof. https://t.co/NhFV9eOkBc

What sucks is if this logo is real, I doubt Demoff or any Rams brass care about our meltdown were having. They understand they cant please everyone and are willing to go with what they decided on.

Could this leaked logo be the new Rams logo? They had 4 years to get it right. pic.twitter.com/V6MUqmXkih

The Rams will be among four teams with complete uniform changes this season. The Falcons, Browns and Buccaneers will also have new uniforms and logos for 2020.
Update: Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson reported that the logo is real.
So this #Rams new logo hat that leaked on Reddit is legitimate. That’s the new logo. Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/mTZMeseS2f
