The Washington Redskins claimed linebacker Reuben Foster less than three days after he was arrested on domestic violence charges at the 49ers team hotel and subsequently waived.

Foster was suspended for the first two games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. He also faced domestic violence allegations earlier in the year before the same alleged victim recanted. That didn't stop the Redskins from putting Foster on their team, and they knew exactly the kind of message they were sending. As reports hit Twitter, the Redskins' Doug Williams released a statement to explain the waiver claim.

Yet, given how quickly Foster found a new landing spot, the Redskins faced plenty of criticism for putting Foster's football value before allegations of domestic violence.
