As the Green Bay Packers continue their staring contest with the New York Jets, they still have a roster that needs tweaking for the 2023 season. And one underrated star from last season is going to be back for the next one.

According to NFL reporter Ari Meirov, the Packers are re-signing linebacker Justin Hollins. Per the report it's a one-year deal worth $1.2 million.

Hollins joined the Packers off waivers in November after being released by the Los Angeles Rams. He played in only six games but was surprisingly impactful as a pass rusher.

Hollins had 2.5 sacks, three tackles for loss and four QB hits as a backup linebacker and special teams player.

Justin Hollins was a fifth-round pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Oregon and played a mix of defense and special teams as a rookie. He had 21 tackles in his first season and was waived before the start of the 2020 season.

The Los Angeles Rams picked Hollins up and made him a key depth player on their defense, giving up seven starts between 2021 and 2022. In 34 games for the Rams he had 34 tackles and 6.0 sacks.

Will Hollins become an impact player for the Packers in 2023?
