The players around the National Football League possess much more talent than what is displayed weekly on the field, especially in the thriving world of podcasting. The ability for players to express themselves freely through their platform has expanded over the years, even with active players partaking in various forms of media.

The latest football star to showcase his podcasting ability is Los Angeles Rams veteran wide receiver DeSean Jackson. The deep threat speedster’s podcast is titled “Fade The Booth” on the Bleav Podcast Network features hip hop legend, Lil Wayne, on the latest episode as the duo discussed the great superstars of today. During the discussion, Jackson praised the Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro combination of Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill while admitting to private conversations with former head coach Andy Reid about the pair.

“Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes, you know Andy Reid when I came in, he was my coach,” Jackson said. “It’s a lot of similarities, (Andy Reid) always calls me like man you and Tyreek; it’s something about y’all, but Patrick Mahomes was almost like how me and (Michael) Vick used to be back in the day, you remember how me and Vick were back in. . .”

Jackson and Michael Vick, during their time under Andy Reid’s coaching while with the Philadelphia Eagles, certainly had some memorable moments. The duo lit up the league together in 2010, each earning Pro Bowl honors and Vick being awarded the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. Jackson was the leading receiver for the Eagles that year with 1,056 yards. As for Wayne, the proud Green Bay Packers fan, he chimed in agreement on Hill’s greatness in the Chiefs offense.

“That Tyreek is unfair,” said Wayne. “That is totally unfair, man. That man is really too fast.”

“He’s the truth, ain’t he,” Jackson said.
