Watch highlights from Rams' riveting win vs. Buccaneers in divisional round
The Los Angeles Rams knocked off the defending Super Bowl champions on Sunday afternoon, traveling to Tampa Bay and beating the Buccaneers in dramatic fashion. The final score was 30-27, but the game shouldn’t have been nearly as close as it was.
The Rams blew a 27-3 lead to the Bucs and nearly lost with an epic collapse to Tom Brady, but Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp were the heroes with a 44-yard connection to set up the game-winning field goal by Matt Gay.
It wasn’t a back-and-forth game, with the Buccaneers never leading at any point, but it was one of the craziest contests in recent memory. It was a nail-biter in the second half, with the Rams losing three fumbles in the final two quarters alone and the Buccaneers scoring 24 unanswered points to make things interesting.
