The Seattle Kraken look a bit more like a NHL hockey team now. The 2021 NHL expansion draft has passed and the Kraken have officially selected 30 players to make up their initial roster for the upcoming season, much like the Vegas Golden Knights did before them.

It will be a little bit longer before we see the Kraken in action on the ice later this fall, but we finally have an idea of what this team is outside of mock drafts and predictions. And now that the dust has settled on the eventful expansion draft on Wednesday, it’s time to break out the report cards!

Of course, this isn’t a full grade sheet for Seattle here, as the team ended the night $28.9 million below the salary cap with the upcoming entry draft and free agency period on the horizon. It’s all but assured that the Kraken will be making more moves to solidify their roster this offseason, but for now these grades are just for our initial feelings on where Seattle stands.

With all that out of the way, here are our grades on all 30 picks the Kraken made in the expansion draft.
