Florida State vs Miami 2020 Football Preview

The FSU Seminoles face off against the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday September 26, 2020 in Miami Florida. The Miami Hurricanes had a relatively tumultuous year one under Manny Diaz. After soundly beating the Florida State Seminoles and Louisville they had inexplicable losses to Florida International, Duke, and Louisiana Tech. However, this year feels different. They have started hot. In their first game they gave little away in their warm up victory against a decent UAB team and they followed that up with an impressive showing at Louisville. Much of their newfound success can be attributed to Miami’s reputation as the landing spot for any kid trying to find a new place to call home. On the offensive side of the ball D’eriq King has infused life into a pretty dead offense from a year ago. Likewise Quincy Roche has added a much needed spark to a talented but relatively unknown defensive line. However, what really interests me is not the players that Diaz has brought in but the coaches. Specifically Rhett Lashlee who is a promising catch for them at Offensive Coordinator. Lets take a look at how Lashlee has been using the talent that he has come into in Coral Gables and how it plays with the defensive prowess that Manny Diaz already brings to the table. Things change as seasons advance. Likely some of the shine will come off of the Hurricanes as they play more challenging teams. Florida State will surely improve as they don’t really have much else to do. However, when it comes to this matchup this early in the season, its hard to imagine the Seminoles coming away with a victory.
