Dazalin Worsham is heading home to finish out his college career.

The former Hewitt-Trussville standout, who spent last season at Auburn, announced Tuesday night that he has transferred to UAB to play for Trent Dilfer’s program. UAB will be the third school in four years for Worsham, a former three-star prospect who spent his first two seasons in Miami before transferring to Auburn last summer.

Worsham is a 6-foot-1, 177-pound Birmingham native who was an Under Armour All-American at Hewitt-Trussville, where he became one of the most prolific wide receivers in Alabama high school football history.

Worsham, a graduate of Hewitt-Trussville, is a former Under Armour All-American and one of the most prolific wide receivers in Alabama high school history. He finished his prep career as Hewitt-Trussville’s all-time leading receiver and eighth all-time in receptions in the state, with 215 receptions for more than 2,400 yards and 28 touchdowns during his varsity career. As a senior, he had 54 catches for 427 yards and six touchdowns while earning second-team Class 7A All-State honors.

Worsham redshirted in 2020 during his first year at Miami and only saw the field in one game the following season. After arriving at Auburn, he appeared in 11 games last fall but finished with just one reception for 8 yards and four punt returns totaling 25 yards before entering the transfer portal in early December.

Worsham is the second former Auburn player to transfer to UAB this month, joining former Tigers cornerback A.D. Diamond.
