Rep. Bennie Thompson campaigns for Shontel Brown in Cleveland

We're just days away from the special primary election in Ohio's 11th Congressional District, and on the Democratic side, it's become a two-way race between former Nina Turner and Shontel Brown. The matchup represents the current political divide among Democrats, with Brown representing the more moderate "establishment" and Turner part of the left-leaning progressive wing. It's a contrast that played out Saturday, when both candidates welcomed big-name Washington politicians for campaign events. While Turner stumped with Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Brown was in Cleveland with House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn as well as Mississippi Rep. Bennie Thompson. Clyburn played a major role in now-President Joe Biden's victory last year, while Thompson is currently chairman United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol. Thompson addressed Brown's supporters Saturday: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/politics/elections/ohio-11th-congressional/big-name-democrats-shontel-brown-nina-turner-ohio-11th-congressional-district/95-189d595b-63fd-4491-8323-cb95b65bb337
